Can I buy tickets at the door on August 29th?

• We may have some tickets available at the venue on the day of the event, but due to capacity limitations, we highly recommend that you buy your tickets online before the event date.

• If the event has sold out, we cannot guarantee any tickets at the door. We will assess capacity and may allow limited sales, but we must prioritize existing ticketholders. Thank you for your understanding.

• The promotional Early Bird pricing is available until August 1st (or while supplies last).

• Activity tokens will also be available for sale on site, but purchasing them early allows you to skip the line and get straight to the fun!

Do youth 12 and under need an admission ticket?

• Youth 12 and under are free but still require a ticket. The admission ticket is necessary to help us manage venue capacity.

• To avoid delays at the entrance, please ensure that you have enough tickets for everyone in your party.

What is included with the admission ticket?

• Your admission ticket entitles you to enjoy the matsuri event and traditional performances.

• Food, game activities, and merchandise are not included in the admission ticket.

• The revenue collected from ticket sales helps cover event expenses and provide honourariums for our performers.

What is the difference between the "11 am - 2 pm" and "2 pm - 5 pm" time slots?

• The performance schedules are slightly different, but otherwise you'll have the same matsuri experience at either time slot.

Can I stay for both the morning and afternoon time slots?

• No, to ensure we adhere to the venue's capacity, all attendees from the morning show must leave by 2 pm to make room for the afternoon show admission.

• To stay for the afternoon show, you must have a ticket for that show.

Can I re-enter the venue if I leave the event?

• Due to venue capacity, attendees who leave after being admitted may not be guaranteed to re-enter.

• Re-entry is only allowed if the ticketholder's name on the ticket matches their photo ID and the venue is not at capacity.

• There is no guarantee of re-entry.

How many activity tokens should I get?

• Each activity will require 1-3 tokens.

• Depending on how many people are participating in the activities, you can choose to purchase in groups of 10, 20, or 30 tokens.

• All revenue from token sales supports local non-profit organizations.

What kind of food/drinks are available?

• We have a variety of Japanese food and drinks available from our vendor sponsors.

What payment types are accepted on site?

• Accepted payments include cash, debit, and credit.

• An ATM is available on-site.

What should I wear?

• If you have a kimono or yukata, we encourage you to wear them and celebrate Japanese-style!

• Cosplay is also welcome! There is no set dress code!

Is there parking on site?

• Yes, parking is available on the south side of the building. On-site parking is also available.

Is the venue accessible?

• The Regina Performing Arts Centre features wheelchair access and elevators.
